How Can I Achieve Greatness?
In this brief article (and YouTube video), I’m going to talk about how to find your bliss and achieve greatness.
Many people are stuck in a rut and don’t know what they want to do with their lives, living therefore life by default. Never ever reaching their full potential. Most people never reach their potential because they’re afraid to take risks or they don’t know what they want in life.
There’s an old saying that goes something like this: The more you do, the more you can do. And it’s true! When we set our minds to do something and put forth the effort, we’re usually rewarded with success. But sometimes, no matter how hard we try, things just don’t seem to come together the way we want them to. That’s when it’s important to remember that there are plenty of other things out there to pursue. We may not be good at everything, but there’s bound to be something we’re passionate about and that we can be successful at. And when we find that passion, everything else will flow naturally. Productivity will come more easily, and happiness will follow. So don’t get discouraged if things don’t work out perfectly at first. Just keep moving forward and you’ll find what you’re looking for.
It’s never too late to make something out of yourself. Whether you’re 18 or 80, it’s always possible to learn new things and develop and master new skills so they can become a passion. The key is to find something that you like and to pursue it with single-minded determination. If you are determined, you’ll find success and happiness. But even if you don’t, you’ll at least be productive and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you gave it your all. That’s also an achievement!
Take me, for example, before I harnessed the art of bodybuilding to become a world champion and Mr. Universe, I had to try several activities like gymnastics, which led to an injury. I could’ve given up, but I was able to muster the courage to follow my bliss and finally got to the top. How did I do that? You’re probably thinking. By remembering that I was better than the voice inside that kept on saying, “You can’t!” By connecting to my self-worth, which reminded me that I was unique, and that there was nothing I couldn’t do if my mind could conceive. That, my friends, IS how you get out of your self-doubting, self-sabotaging ego.
What is happiness? According to Merriam-Webster, it is a state of well-being and contentment. How do you find happiness? The answer may be simpler than you think: follow your bliss. Do what makes you content. It sounds easy enough, but often we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and forget to focus on our own happiness. We become so focused on success and productivity that we lose sight of what truly makes us happy.
Following your bliss does not mean that you will immediately achieve greatness or fame. But it means that you will be happier and more fulfilled because you are doing what you love. And when you are happy, your productivity and success are likely to increase as well. So, if you want to achieve happiness and greatness, start by following what makes your heart sing. It just might be the best decision you ever make.
As anyone who has ever achieved greatness can attest, passion is essential to success. As I said earlier, once you find something that you’re truly passionate about, you’ll be unstoppable! But what if you don’t yet know what your passion is? How do you find it? Start by paying attention to the things that make you feel happy. What activities make you lose track of time? What topics can you talk about for hours on end? These are the things that you should pursue, as they have the potential to turn into a genuine passion. And when you’re doing something that you’re passionate about, greatness will follow. So don’t wait any longer – start following your bliss today! Who knows where it will lead you tomorrow?
